Under the discretion of the Lorain County Clerk of Court, the Domestic Relations Clerk serves all clients in Lorain County in Domestic Relations matters. The Clerk is responsible for the following:

Accept filings
Issue summons
Schedule hearings
Prepare/Issue subpoenas
Prepare/Issue warrants
File-stamping, docketing, and processing all paperwork
Maintain all court case files
Collection of Court Costs
Record Requests
A variety of other duties

These cases include:

Divorce
Dissolution
Annulment
Legal Separation
Custody and Visitation for married or divorcing parents
Child Support & Spousal Support for previously married parents
Domestic Violence Civil Protection Orders
URESA (interstate support)
