The Honorable Judge Sherry L. Glass was elected to the bench on November 8, 2016. Judge Glass received a B.A. from Ohio University in 1995. She went on to complete a J.D. at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1998. Prior to her election, Glass worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office for eighteen years (1997 to 2015). During her tenure there, she handled domestic relations, juvenile, appeals, and adult criminal felony cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, child abuse, domestic abuse, abuse of the elderly, abuse against the mentally and physically disabled, drug trafficking, and gang member prosecutions. Her assignments included serving as the supervisor of the Adult Criminal Felony Division (2010 to 2015).

 In addition, Glass acted as an attorney for Lorain County Child Support Enforcement and Lorain County Children Services and a juvenile assistant county prosecutor. She has held several positions with the Lorain County Bar Association, including past president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. From a civic standpoint, Glass was a liaison between the Lorain County Prosecutor’s office and the Kidz First Child Advocacy Center and Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children.

 Judge Glass is a life-long Lorain County resident growing up in the city of Lorain and graduating from Southview High School. In addition to her judicial role, Judge Glass is a wife, mother of three, and active community member.
